WorkWave Staff seeks a skilled Optician to ensure precise vision correction and exceptional eye care services. You will interpret prescriptions, fit eyewear, and guide lens options to meet patient needs, contributing to overall clinical operations and patient satisfaction.

You will work with optometrists and staff to support comprehensive eye examinations, measure critical parameters, and maintain accurate inventory while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Optician or related optical role in Health Care.
• Valid certification or licensure as an Optician as required by state or regional regulations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and verify eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions before fabrication.
• Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses based on prescription, facial structure, and style.
• Operate optical equipment to measure pupillary distance and other lens parameters.
• Perform adjustments and repairs on eyewear for fit and comfort.
• Educate patients on lens care and optical technologies.
• Collaborate with optometrists/ophthalmologists to support eye examinations.
• Maintain inventory of frames, lenses and supplies.
