Apploi is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk in Florida. The role focuses on managing and maintaining accurate medical records, ensuring coding guideline compliance and proper documentation for third-party billing.

The position supports revenue cycle management and high-quality patient care documentation. Responsibilities include handling patient records, preparing folders, filing, auditing, and collaborating with medical staff to ensure complete and compliant records.

Formación

• Minimum two years of training and/or experience in clerical work and typing with emphasis on medical terminology and ICD-10-CM.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding guidelines including ICD-10-CM.
• Experience with insurance verification, claims submission, and follow-up procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and organize patient records and file charts.
• Prepare patient folders from census and handle chart sorting.
• Process health insurance claims and support revenue cycle management.
• Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all duties.
• Assist with releases of information and chart audits as needed.
• Maintain logs of audited charts and monitor deficiencies.
