Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Millsboro, DE is seeking a Meat Cutter for the meat department. You will cut, grind, weigh, wrap and label fresh meats to our standards and assist members with questions and special meat requests.

This role emphasizes sanitation, inventory control, and teamwork to deliver top‑notch member service. Prior meat cutting experience is preferred; completion of a training/apprenticeship is required, and 18+ years of age is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and provides assistance to Members by making recommendations and answering questions about meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood to packaging standards.
• Maintains the meat department, stock, sanitation and safety standards.
