Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a Meat Cutter to support the meat department with cutting, wrapping, and merchandising of fresh and processed meats. You will assist in meat selection, create special cuts, and ensure case displays meet quality standards while upholding sanitation and safety guidelines.

The role emphasizes teamwork to deliver member-focused service, maintain accurate signage, and contribute to a positive club environment with a commitment to the GOLD club standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Members by making recommendations and answering questions about meat, poultry and seafood.
• Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cut, grind, and process fresh meats to company standards; weigh, wrap, and label products.
• Keep meat, seafood, prepared foods and cheese cases stocked and organized.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards and rotate stock by expiration dates.
