Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department Team Member in Newark, Delaware. You will receive, cut, weigh, wrap, and label fresh and processed meats to company standards, assist with seafood and prepared foods, and help maintain inventory and sanitation throughout the department.

This position requires excellent member service, a willingness to work as part of a team, and the ability to follow club policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program or apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages with Members by answering questions and making meat recommendations.
• Cuts, grinds, weighs, packages, and labels meat to company standards.
• Maintains meat case and inventory; rotates products per dates and displays.
• Maintains sanitation and safety standards in the meat department.
• Receives and inspects deliveries; assists in other departments as needed.
