Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a Manual Machinist in Philadelphia to perform diverse machining tasks on stainless steel and other alloys, including finishing and tooling support. The role requires setup and operation of manual machines, reading prints, and maintaining documentation to ensure on-time delivery.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least 3 years in a machine shop, with proficiency in calipers, micrometers, and inspection tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years machine shop experience, preferably in an engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual machines (milling, lathe, drill press) and hand tools per specs.
• Rework parts per print with written/verbal instructions.
• Inspect components to ensure form, fit and function meet criteria.
• Document routings, inspections, and time entries accurately.
• Maintain inventory and assist with fixture/tooling development.
• Support maintenance and other production areas as needed.
• Keep a clean, safe, organized work area and meet delivery schedules.
