Job summary

TECOMET in Jenkintown, PA is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to perform diversified work on stainless steel and other alloys. You will set up and operate manual machines, read engineering drawings, and produce parts to exacting tolerances.

Minimum 3 years in a machine shop, proficiency with gauges and inspection tools, and the ability to document processes while maintaining a clean, safe workspace are required. Team collaboration with engineering and maintenance is essential to meet schedules.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years machine shop experience in an engineering environment.
Experience reading blueprints, prints, or drawings and performing inspections.

Responsibilities

Operate manual machines (milling, lathe, drill press, grinders) per engineering drawings.
Rework parts per print with written and verbal instructions.
Maintain production by completing scheduled work on time.
Inspect components and assemblies to ensure dimensions and fit.
Complete routings, inspection reports, and time/documentation records.
Document time entries and keep shop-floor packets current.
Maintain material and hardware inventory.
Assist maintenance with machine repairs and fixture development with engineering.
Support other production areas when needed and ensure on-time delivery.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times.
