Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a Manual Machinist in the Bucks County area to perform specialty and diversified machining of irregular shapes and alloys such as stainless steel. You will setup and operate manual machinery, inspect parts to required tolerances, and document work orders and time entries in a fast-paced shop environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least 3 years of machine shop experience, with proficiency in blueprints, calipers, micrometers, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years machine shop experience required, preferably in an engineering environment using the equipment listed.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge, setup and operation of manual machinery including milling machines, lathes, drill press, gun drill, surface grinder, and hand tools as per engineering drawings.
• Inspects components, subassemblies, and final assemblies to ensure form, fit and function and meets dimensional criteria.
• Documents time entry and shop floor packets, and maintains inventory of material and hardware.
• Reworks parts per print with written and verbal instructions.
