Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a Manual Machinist in Croydon, PA to operate and set up manual machines, read blueprints, and perform inspections to ensure parts meet exact dimensions. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and proficiency with Microsoft Office for documentation.

Responsibilities include documenting routings and inspection reports, maintaining inventory, and collaborating with engineering to develop tooling and fixtures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years machine shop experience, preferably in engineering environment using listed equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, sketches, work orders or written instructions.
• Ability to read calipers, micrometer, optical comparator, height gauges and other inspection tools as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual machining equipment (milling machines, lathes, drill press, surface grinder, etc.) as per engineering drawings.
• Rework parts per print with written and verbal instructions.
• Maintain production by completing scheduled work on time.
• Inspect components and assemblies to ensure dimensions meet specifications.
