TECOMET is seeking a Manual Machinist in New Jersey to perform diversified machining, finishing, and related tasks using standard hand tools. Responsibilities include operating mills, lathes, drill presses, inspecting parts, and documenting work in the shop system.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in a machine shop or engineering setting, strong blueprint reading, and proficiency with measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years machine shop experience in an engineering environment preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Able to read blueprints, drawings, sketches, or work orders.
• Able to read calipers, micrometers, optical comparator and height gauges.

Responsabilités

• Operate manual milling machines, lathes, drill presses, and grinders.
• Rework parts per print with written/verbal instructions.
• Maintain on-time production and document routings/inspections.
• Inspect components to ensure form, fit, and function per specs.
• Assist in tooling development with engineering for fixtures and process sheets.
