First Commerce Credit Union is seeking an Items Processing Specialist to ensure daily financial transactions are processed accurately, securely, and on time in a fast-paced environment.

You will handle share draft processing, wires, ATM deposits, and deposits review, monitor queues, balance accounts, and collaborate with Fraud and Collections to prevent fraud while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Formación

• 1–3 years of banking experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in item processing or proof operations preferred.
• Experience with cash letter processing and ten-key by touch preferred.
• Working knowledge of banking regulations (Reg E, BSA, OFAC, CIP) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies quickly.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet daily deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsabilidades

• Process share draft files and review/resolve exceptions.
• Handle teller and ATM items and deposits, monitor for accuracy.
• Identify potential fraud in partnership with Fraud and Collections teams.
• Process remote deposits and wires; prepare cash letters.
• Manage incoming deposits and payments; balance and adjust accounts as needed.
• Monitor processing queues and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide backup support for ACH, Card Services, and other operations.
