Job summary

First Commerce Credit Union is seeking an Items Processing Specialist to ensure daily transactions are processed accurately, securely, and on time. You will handle share draft items, deposits, and wires while protecting members and complying with regulations.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in banking, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with 10-key, Excel, and Word. This role offers competitive hourly pay and opportunities for growth within the credit union.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of banking experience required.
• Experience in item processing or proof operations preferred.
• Working knowledge of banking regulations (Reg E, BSA, OFAC, CIP) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process share draft files and review exceptions to ensure accuracy.
• Handle teller and ATM items, verify deposits, and flag potential fraud.
• Process remote deposits and wires, prepare cash letters, and manage deposits.
• Monitor queues, balance accounts, and perform adjustments to ensure compliance.
