Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Valid forklift certification/licensure required or ability to obtain before operating equipment.
• 3+ years of dock/warehouse experience required.
• Clear English communication, written and verbal for safety and freight docs.
• Ability to recognize numbers, barcodes, and weights; basic arithmetic.
• Willingness to learn computer systems and handheld scanners.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklifts and other MHE per procedures.
• Move, stage, sort, and position freight between dock doors and areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping and delivery.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading following safety procedures.
• Label, scan, and track freight to ensure accuracy.
• Identify damaged freight and report issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe dock environment and comply with OSHA.
• Learn equipment operation and safety protocols on the floor.
• Support dock productivity and overall operational goals.
• Work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Lead in task prioritization and provide guidance as needed.
• Serve as SME on dock operations and train others.
