Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Valid forklift certification/licensure required.
• 3+ years of dock or warehouse experience.
• Ability to read and understand safety and freight documentation.
• Basic arithmetic and number recognition.
• Willingness to learn basic computer systems and handheld scanners.
• Experience operating material handling equipment (MHE) and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using sit-down/stand-up forklifts and MHE.
• Move, stage, sort, and position freight between dock doors and designated areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading following safety procedures.
• Label, scan, and track freight for accuracy and documentation integrity.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized dock environment.
• Mentor junior team members and support dock productivity.
• Work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
