Job summary

Vibrant Works in San Antonio, TX (Eads) is seeking a Contract Closeout Specialist to initiate administrative closeouts after confirming physical completion. You will maintain folder accuracy, obtain payment and delivery histories, and guide closeout reviews with contracting officers.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree or 24 credits in related fields, strong FAR knowledge, and experience with complex contracts. This role is non-exempt and onsite at our CMS division in San Antonio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 24 semester credits in accounting, business, contracts, or related fields.
• Knowledge of FAR, procurement policies and contract lifecycle management.
• Experience with complex contracts (construction, service, IDIQ) throughout lifecycle.
• Understanding of contract administration, modifications, payments, closeout, terminations.
• Familiarity with PD2/SPS or equivalent government systems.

Responsibilities

• Initiate contract closeout per SOPs and directional supervision.
• Maintain 100% accountability of folders and documents in closeout.
• Contact agencies for written payment history via electronic/verbal means.
• Request written delivery history from manufacturers or contractors.
• Assess funds obligations and de-obligate or re-obligate as needed.
• Prepare closeout documents for contracting officer review and approval.
• Generate daily/weekly closeout reports and track metrics.
• Provide customer service to contracting officers regarding closeout folders.
• Redistribute folder for temporary storage post-closure and destruction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
