Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a Contract Closeout Assistant to support the 772nd ESS in executing enterprise contracts for Air Force bases nationwide. This on-site role at Lackland AFB requires meticulous documentation and close collaboration with CO, COR, and finance teams.

You will manage closeout tasks, prepare closeout documents, track obligations, and ensure DoD guidelines compliance, leveraging PIEE, WAWF, and DFAS collaboration. Strong MS Office skills and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of Federal Government contract closeout experience.
• BA/BS degree, or six (6) years of Federal Government contract closeout experience.
• Ability to quickly obtain a Tier 1 background check and knowledge of DoD closeout processes.
• Strong organizational and communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Expertise in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Contracting Officer with administrative tasks related to acquisition operations.
• Support contract closeout processes, including de-obligation of ULOs and UDOs and other post-award services.
• Manage auto-closeout actions, digitize contracts, and organize documentation.
• Proofread and organize contract records and documents.
• Familiarize yourself with the DoD Contract Closeout Guidebook and use PIEE, WAWF, and EDA.
• Coordinate with DFAS, DCAA, and DCMA to verify payment histories and audit status.
• Prepare closeout documents for CO approval, including DD 1594s and release of claims.
• Input contract obligations into systems and track status of closeouts.
• Collaborate with CO, COR, FM, and vendors to gather signatures and information.
• Maintain inventory of open/pending/closed files and update SharePoint.
• Prepare files for staging and destruction per DoD guidelines and FAR regulations.
