Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a CNC Machinist II for 2nd or 3rd shift with 3+ years of experience. The role involves operating and setting up CNC machines, maintaining quality, and ensuring safety within Tecomet's continuous improvement culture.

Required is a high school diploma or GED, with 3+ years in CNC machining; an associates degree or machinist apprenticeship is preferred. Production experience is favored and strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years CNC machining experience.
• Associate's degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience in a production environment preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Math and English desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate and set-up CNC machines per work instructions and drawings.
• Progressive machining of various parts and metals with close tolerances.
• Change dull tooling and make minor offsets for wear.
• Ensure product quality using OOQ standards and measuring equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance per PM schedule and document results.
• Perform hand finishing as required.
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete job routers/cards.
• Maintain safe working practices and report safety issues.
• Identify productivity improvements and participate in CI activities.
• Record activities in the job tracking system.
• Identify and escalate manufacturing issues to supervisor.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping in the work area.
