Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a 2nd or 3rd shift CNC Machinist with 3+ years of experience to produce high-precision parts and maintain strict quality and safety standards. You will operate, set up, and monitor CNC machines, interpret drawings, and adhere to OOQ and GMP/GDP practices.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement and teamwork in a fast-paced production environment. Applicants should have a GED or higher, 3+ years of CNC experience, and preferably an associate’s degree or Machinist

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years CNC Machining experience.
• Associate's degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• Production environment experience preferred.
• UK note: GCSE/NVQ Math and English desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate and Set-up CNC machines within tolerances following work instructions and drawings.
• Perform difficult CNC Machinist work including progressive machining of various parts and metals with close tolerances.
• Change dull tooling and adjust as needed for wear.
• Ensure product quality using OOQ standards and measuring equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and PM scheduling.
• Perform hand finishing.
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete routers/cards.
• Maintain safe working practices and report safety issues.
• Meet productivity targets and seek productivity improvements.
• Record activities in the job tracking system.
• Identify and support Continuous Improvement activities.
• Elevate manufacturing issues to supervisor as needed.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping in work area.
• Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
