Job summary

Ambient Enterprises is seeking a Billing Specialist to ensure timely and accurate customer invoicing using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. You will focus on correct pricing, contract terms, and sales tax application while following up on open orders and supporting month-end close.

The role requires 1–3 years in billing or related finance, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with Excel/Office.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of billing, accounts receivable, or related administrative finance experience.
• Experience preparing customer invoices and verifying pricing, contract terms, and account information for accuracy.
• Basic understanding of sales tax application and customer billing practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a similar ERP/accounting system is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, particularly during month-end close.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work professionally with customers and internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices promptly in Business Central, ensuring accuracy of pricing, contract terms, and account details.
• Ensure sales taxes are calculated and applied correctly on all customer invoices.
• Follow up on open sales orders to ensure timely billing and fulfillment.
• Manage billing discrepancies or disputes, investigating and resolving issues quickly and professionally.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure proper billing for services, orders, and contracts.
• Support month-end close by completing all billing accurately and on time.
• Maintain organized and accurate billing records for reporting and audit purposes.
• Assist with ad hoc billing and accounting projects to support process improvements or special initiatives.
