Job summary

Ambient Enterprises is seeking a Billing Specialist to ensure timely and accurate customer invoicing using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. You will focus on pricing accuracy, contract terms, and tax application while supporting operations and month-end close.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, accounting, or related administrative finance role preferred.
• Experience preparing customer invoices and verifying pricing, contract terms, and account information for accuracy.
• Basic understanding of sales tax application and customer billing practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a similar ERP/accounting system is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, particularly during month-end close.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work professionally with customers and internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Ability to investigate issues, identify errors, and follow through on resolutions in a timely manner.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with sales, operations, and finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices in Business Central ensuring pricing and terms.
• Ensure correct calculation and application of sales taxes.
• Follow up on open sales orders for timely billing and fulfillment.
• Resolve billing discrepancies or disputes promptly.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance on billing for services, orders, contracts.
• Support month-end close with accurate and timely billing.
• Maintain organized billing records for reporting and audit.
• Assist with ad hoc billing and accounting projects.
