Job summary

Badger Meter, Inc. is seeking an Assembly II to assemble parts according to Work Instructions and Drawings, rotating through a variety of tasks to support production and quality objectives.

You will use hand and powered tools, run saws and deburring equipment, calibrate sensors, enter details in the production system, and contribute to safety and lean initiatives. A high school diploma and 3+ years of assembly experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in assembly/manufacturing.
• High School Degree/GED preferred.
• Basic proficiency with computers including ERP and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts using hand, battery, electric, and pneumatic tools.
• Operate circular saws and deburring tools for modified assemblies.
• Use laser engravers and dot peen engravers for customer-specific mods.
• Calibrate gas to test sensors in Analytical Technologies.
• Record production activity and review work instructions in the Production system.
• Identify inventory requirements and adjust in LX system as needed.
• Support safety, quality, delivery and cost improvement initiatives.
• Train colleagues in the department.
• Apply basic 5S and Lean concepts to maintain a clean and safe workplace.
