Job summary

Badger Meter, Inc. is seeking an Assembler II to assemble parts per Work Instructions and Drawings, with potential rotation across the facility. You will use hand, battery, electric, and pneumatic tools to complete high-quality components and support production goals.

The role requires basic technical skills, ability to work with modular assemblies, and commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. EDF and lean principles apply to daily activities.

Qualifications

• Understanding gluing and centering to exact tolerances across multiple areas/products.
• Ability to use function generators and multimeter test equipment.
• Basic proficiency with computers including an ERP system and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts according to Work Instructions and drawings; may rotate through the facility.
• Operate hand, battery, electric and pneumatic tools to complete assemblies.
• Use circular saws, deburring tools for modified assemblies (Utility and Flow Only).
• Laser etch, dot peen etch and engrave to customer specs (Utility and Flow Only).
• Calibrate gas to test sensors (Analytical Technologies Only).
• Record daily orders in Production system; review work instructions in LX screens.
• Support Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost improvements.
• Train others in the department.
• Perform basic 5S and Lean concepts to maintain a clean, safe workplace.
