SURGE Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our Accounting team in Columbus, OH. You will process customer payments, generate invoices, post revenue, and support weekly billing operations while maintaining confidentiality and delivering excellent customer service to internal teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• At least one year of billing, accounting, customer service, or related business experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Post customer payments across all business units.
• Generate, review, and audit customer invoices for accuracy.
• Verify and post revenue transactions from bank deposit information.
• Assist with weekly billing close and invoice auditing processes.
• Contact branch offices to obtain missing invoicing documentation.
• Organize, distribute, and send invoices via mail and email.
• Scan and maintain billing documentation and payment records.
• Support Accounts Receivable and Collections with quality assurance calls as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate billing.
• Perform additional duties to support the Accounting department and overall business operations.
