Job summary

LR Squared is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer to drive storage solutions for enterprise customers in the US Midwest. You will translate complex data-management challenges into compelling technical demonstrations and architectures that advance the sales cycle.

Collaborating with account teams, you will lead evaluations, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and create architecture presentations that show measurable business outcomes and cloud/on-prem options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years pre-sales experience in data storage/data management.
• Experience selling storage, networking, systems, cloud to enterprise accounts.
• Deep understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing.
• Must have experience with NFS.
• Ability to target new prospects and convert them into clients.
• Knowledge of storage architectures (FC, iSCSI, NAS, NFS, SAN).
• Linux experience with NFS file systems and distributed environments.
• Knowledge of VMware and basic networking (TCP/IP).
• Familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP is a plus.
• Curiosity and ability to explain new technology to customers.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer challenges and tailor solutions with the sales team.
• Lead evaluations, benchmarks and system configurations.
• Build and deliver technical product and architecture presentations.
• Capture requirements and translate business needs into solutions.
• Contribute to responses to RFPs, RFQs and RFIs.
• Create materials with product and marketing to support alliance plans.
