Job summary

Jobtailor in Scottsdale, Arizona seeks a seasoned Pre-Sales Engineer to translate customer needs into tailored demos and to shape solution architectures across UCaaS, CCaaS, and CRM integrations. You will partner with Account Executives, drive PoCs, and respond to RFPs to win business.

Responsibilities include leading technical discovery, iterating on demos, and training sales teams to position solutions effectively.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in a pre-sales, sales engineering, or technical consulting role.
• Technical knowledge of UCaaS, CCaaS, CRM, SIP, VoIP, AI, APIs, and automation services.
• Ability to present confidently to technical and business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Nextiva’s competitive landscape, including RingCentral, Five9, Genesys, and Zoom.
• Fundamental knowledge of Python, JSON, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Ability to use AI tools to enhance workflows and automate repetitive tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technology.
• Fluent in English.
• Travel up to 20%.
• Knowledge of data security and privacy standards such as HIPAA, PCI, and GDPR is a bonus.
• Knowledge of Spanish or French is a bonus.
• Knowledge of Lucidchart, Google Dialogflow, Teams, WhatsApp, and Google G-Suite is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead business and technical discovery to uncover customer requirements, pain points, and success criteria.
• Design and deliver tailored product demonstrations.
• Foster relationships with third-party vendors and partners to enhance solution offerings.
• Own proof-of-concept engagements, including scoping and success criteria.
• Respond to RFPs/RFIs and security questionnaires.
• Partner with Account Executives on account strategy and deal planning.
• Act as the technical voice of the customer to Product and Engineering.
• Handle basic objections regarding architecture, security, and integrations.
• Stay current on technologies, industry trends, security and compliance, and business needs.
• Provide feedback to Product and Engineering based on customer, competitor, and partner insights.
• Standardize demo best practices, documentation, and reusable assets.
• Train sales teams on effective demo positioning and usage.
• Coordinate customer requirements and roadmaps with Services Delivery.
