Hanwha Vision America in Washington, DC is seeking a Field Application Engineer to provide pre-sales technical support and design solutions for security projects across the DC metro region.

The role involves working with sales, distributors, and end users, delivering system designs, presentations, training, and coordinating cross-functional efforts; travel up to 70% is expected, and a relevant security background is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales role in network video or physical security.
• Certification such as Hanwha WAVE, Genetec, Milestone preferred.
• Strong ability to communicate complex solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with system design, testing, and PoC development.

Responsibilities

• Lead all pre-sales activities in the territory, supporting end-user opportunities from a technical perspective.
• Execute comprehensive system designs, site surveys, BOM creation, and third-party integration.
• Demonstrate Hanwha Vision products to integrators, consultants, engineers, and end users.
• Conduct technology and customer-specific training sessions and deliver sales presentations.
• Collaborate across departments to meet goals and exceed expectations.
• Assist with technical escalations and feedback to support teams.
• Represent the company at industry trade shows and events.
• Provide weekly updates on sales activities and opportunities.
• Travel regionally and nationally up to 70% with possible short-notice trips.
