Job summary

Hanwha Vision America is seeking a Field Application Engineer to drive the technical evaluation portion of the sales process. You will work with sales, dealers, consultants, and end users to design systems, perform site surveys, and prepare BOMs, while training technicians and supporting opportunities in the region.

You will lead pre-sales efforts, demonstrate products to integrators and engineers, and collaborate across departments to meet performance goals.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales role in network video or physical security.
• Certified Security Product Professional preferred (e.g., Hanwha WAVE, Genetec, Milestone).
• Strong ability to articulate complex solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with system design, product testing, and proof-of-concept development for complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead all pre-sales activities in the territory, supporting end-user opportunities technically.
• Design and integrate systems including site surveys, BOMs, and third-party product integration.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for key accounts and demonstrate Hanwha Vision products.
• Conduct technology and customer training sessions and deliver sales presentations.
• Collaborate across departments to meet performance goals and exceed expectations.
• Assist with escalation of technical issues and provide feedback to the support team.
• Represent Hanwha Vision America at industry trade shows and events as needed.
• Provide weekly updates on sales activities to highlight improvement areas.
• Travel regionally and nationally up to 70%, with occasional short-notice trips.
