Job summary

Hanwha Vision America is seeking a Field Application Engineer to drive the technical evaluation portion of the sales process. The role requires managing technical interactions with sales teams, dealers, consultants, and end users across the region.

You will perform system designs, site surveys, BOMs, and third-party integrations to secure opportunities. You will lead pre-sales activities, deliver technology training, and present Hanwha solutions to engineers and integrators.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a customer-facing pre-sales role in the network video or physical security markets.
• Certified Security Product Professional preferred (e.g., Hanwha WAVE, Genetec, Milestone).
• Strong technical acumen with the ability to articulate complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead all pre-sales activities within the territory, focusing on Hanwha Vision America solutions and supporting end-user opportunities from a technical perspective.
• Execute comprehensive system designs, including site surveys, equipment placement, bandwidth and storage calculations, BOM creation, and third-party product integration.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for key accounts, demonstrating Hanwha Vision products to integrators, consultants, engineers, and end users.
• Conduct technology and customer-specific training sessions and provide sales presentations to key stakeholders.
• Collaborate across departments to meet performance goals and exceed customer expectations.
• Assist with technical escalations and feedback to the technical support team on product/system issues.
• Represent Hanwha Vision America at industry trade shows and events as needed.
• Provide weekly updates on sales activities and opportunities for improvement.
• Travel regionally/nationally up to 70%, with occasional short-notice trips.
