SCI Corp. is seeking a Family Service Counselor to assist client families with at-need cemetery arrangements and pre-need plans.

The role focuses on delivering exceptional service, generating revenue, and serving as the primary contact for families in the Columbus area. This position involves lead generation, presenting options to families, building trust, and coordinating with a network of funeral directors and staff to ensure high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of college or equivalent education/experience.
• 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Current state driver’s license with acceptable driving record; insurance license if required by state law.
• Must be able to pass internal presentation certification within 30 days of hire.
• Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead generation: prospect ~1–2 hours daily, obtain referrals, build community networks.
• Build relationships with families: respond promptly, listen attentively, identify needs, provide solutions.
• Teamwork: coordinate with funeral directors, location managers, and staff to deliver seamless service.
