Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools seeks an Instructional Para Educator to support a licensed teacher within a Pre-K program in Colorado. You will assist with materials, student supervision, and basic classroom tasks to reinforce learning and behavior management.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• HSE diploma required.
• No professional work experience required.
• Title I assignments require higher education or equivalent demonstrated knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of typical office equipment.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate English language skills.
• Intermediate oral and written communication skills.
• Advanced interpersonal relations skills.
• Advanced organizational skills.
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, attendance; record-keeping as needed.
• Assist students with classroom activities and curriculum delivery to individuals or small groups.
• Monitor behavior and reinforce appropriate conduct during various activities.
• Perform basic clerical work: typing, filing, inventory, scheduling, data entry, and light bookkeeping.
• Assist with field trips or drills as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
