Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to assist students under licensed staff supervision. You will help individuals and small groups with basic curriculum work, reinforce learning, and prepare classroom materials.

You will monitor behavior and document student progress, while supporting teachers with administrative tasks. The role may involve working with behaviorally challenged students and supporting field trips as needed.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma required.
• No professional work experience required.
• For Title I assignments: two years of college or an associate degree, or demonstrated knowledge via an approved assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials and supporting tests and grading.
• Assist students with activities; deliver curriculum to individuals or small groups.
• Monitor students and reinforce behavior across activities and settings.
• Perform basic clerical tasks: typing, filing, data entry, ordering supplies, etc.
• Support field trips and drills; participate in school events as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
