Job summary

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency diploma is required.
• No professional work experience required.
• Two years of higher education or associate’s degree or equivalent demonstrated knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate English language skills.
• Intermediate oral and written communication skills.
• Advanced interpersonal relations skills.
• Advanced organizational skills.
• Ability to work alone and with others; manage volatile situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, attendance, and paperwork.
• Assist students with classroom activities; deliver curriculum to individuals and small groups.
• Monitor students and reinforce appropriate behavior across activities.
• Perform basic clerical work for the classroom teacher, including typing and data entry.
• Assist with field trips or drills as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
