Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
• No professional work experience required
• Title I assignments require two years of college or higher, or related qualifications
• Basic knowledge of office equipment
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Intermediate English language skills
• Intermediate oral and written communication skills
• Advanced interpersonal relations skills
• Advanced organizational skills
• Ability to work alone and with others
• Ability to diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, attendance, etc.
• Assist students with classroom activities in small groups to Master subjects.
• Monitor students and reinforce behavior during activities such as play, lunch, detention, or field trips.
• Perform basic clerical work for the classroom teacher: typing, filing, data entry, supplies, etc.
• Assist with field trips or fire drills as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
