Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to support licensed staff in delivering curriculum and reinforcing learning skills for students. You will prepare materials, monitor classroom activities, and assist with behavior management, both individually and in small groups.

The role involves collaboration with teachers to reinforce discipline procedures and to record student achievement, with duties including clerical tasks and support during field trips or drills as needed.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
• No professional work experience required
• Title I assignments require: two years of college OR an associate’s or higher degree OR demonstrated knowledge via formal assessment in reading/writing and math

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher by preparing materials, administering tests, grading, attendance—Daily.
• Assist students with classroom activities and small-group instruction to support curriculum mastery—Daily.
• Monitor student behavior and reinforce appropriate conduct during activities, meals, field trips—Daily.
• Perform basic clerical tasks for the classroom teacher (typing, filing, inventory, data entry, supplies).
• Support with field trips or fire drills as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher or administrator.
