Gwinnett County Public Schools is seeking a paraprofessional educator to support teachers and students in various instructional activities. You will work with students individually or in small groups, reinforce instructional content, and assist with classroom management to promote an effective learning environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with Parapro assessments or PSC-approved college hours; prior licensed child care experience is preferred.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; Praxis Parapro or GACE Parapro assessment required
• 60 sem/90 qtr hours from PSC-approved college if no Parapro assessments
• Experience in licensed child care environment preferred

Responsabilidades

• Assist teachers and students by working with students individually or in small groups to assess performance and reinforce instruction
• Support classroom management and provide learning support throughout the day
• Provide instruction as prescribed by the supervising teacher and reinforce skills introduced by the teacher
• Utilize games, stories, and constructive activities to enhance learning
• Assist in checking and evaluating student work objectively
• Reinforce school and classroom rules and escort students as needed
• Assist in preparing lesson plans and learning tools; contribute to activity development
• Assist in diagnosing student math and communication skills; monitor progress and document records
• Prepare instructional materials and perform copying, laminating, typing, and filing tasks
• Coordinate with media center staff and set up classroom equipment for instructional objectives
• Prepare reports, schedules, and other required data; maintain attendance records and seating assignments
• Learn assigned bus routes and perform monitoring duties (hallways, lunchroom, restrooms, bus) as needed
• Ensure appropriate student conduct; escort students to activity areas
• Perform other duties as assigned
