Job summary

Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking a Childcare Assistant to support Pre-K/Preschool classrooms and the after-school program. The role involves assisting with daily classroom operations and coordinating activities for Kids Club and Early Bird programs.

The candidate should meet staff qualifications, be at least 21, and help ensure safety, documentation, and compliance with health and district standards. This is a split-shift, on-site position supporting school-based programs.

Qualifications

• Background in early childhood education or related fields.
• Experience with school age and/or Pre-K/Preschool children in a group setting.
• Hold current first aid and CPR certification or be able to obtain within 30 days.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pre-K/Preschool teacher with daily operation of the classroom.
• Assist with on-site operations including planning activities and supervision of staff and children.
• Maintain compliance with Arizona health services rules and regulations.
• Establish and maintain rapport with students, employees and community.
• Keep teachers and coordinators informed of staff and student activities.
• Order supplies and maintain site inventory.
• Ensure behavior aligns with district policies.
