Job summary

MYR Energy Services is seeking a Pre-Construction Engineering Manager to oversee engineering for nationwide EPC electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects from bidding through closeout. You will support owner design reviews, construction startup, and the creation of final as-built documents, coordinating vendors and subcontractors across multiple projects.

The role requires a PE license and 7+ years in electrical project leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in design, engineering, or project management related to electrical, transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
• PE license.
• Experience managing project teams or consultants is a plus.
• Construction related experience or EPC project experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand and prepare proposals for EPC electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects.
• Manage and coordinate all detailed design engineering subcontractors and the associated field liaison activities.
• Coordinate all engineered equipment and material procurement activities.
• Interface with equipment vendors and expedite procurement information and deliverables.
• Prepare the engineering and equipment procurement requirements of the project.
• Schedule day-to-day engineering subcontractor and equipment procurement activities and coordinate with Project Executive/Manager.
• Manage testing and commissioning contractor for EPC projects.
• Travel up to 25% and other duties as assigned.
