Job summary

MYR Energy Services is seeking a Pre-Construction Engineering Manager to lead engineering for nationwide electrical substation, transmission, and distribution EPC projects from bidding through closeout. The role includes supporting design reviews, construction startups, and final as‑built documentation.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in related fields, a PE license, and experience leading project teams. Bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in design, engineering, or project management for electrical transmission/substation projects.
• PE license is required.
• Experience managing project teams or consultants is a plus.
• Construction/EPC project experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering for nationwide EPC substation, transmission, and distribution projects.
• Coordinate design subcontractors and field liaison activities.
• Coordinate equipment procurement and vendor interfaces.
• Prepare engineering and equipment procurement requirements.
• Schedule engineering subcontractors and procurement activities with project leadership.
• Manage testing and commissioning contractors.
• Ensure compliance with Code of Business Conduct and ethics.
