Job summary

MYR Energy Services, a subsidiary of MYR Group Inc., seeks a Pre-Construction Engineering Manager to oversee engineering for electrical substation, transmission and distribution EPC projects nationwide from bidding to closeout. Responsibilities include design engineering oversight, owner design reviews, and support during construction and startup.

The role requires 7+ years in electrical design/engineering or project management, a PE license, and experience managing project teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in design, engineering, or project management related to electrical, transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
• PE license
• Experience managing project teams or consultants is a plus
• Construction related experience or EPC project experience

Responsibilities

• Understand and prepare proposals for EPC electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects.
• Manage and coordinate all detailed design engineering subcontractors and related field liaison activities.
• Coordinate all engineered equipment and material procurement activities.
• Interface with equipment vendors and expediting procurement information and deliverables.
• Prepare the engineering and equipment procurement requirements of the project.
• Schedule day-to-day engineering subcontractor and equipment procurement activities and coordinate with Project Executive/Manager.
• Manage testing and commissioning contractor for EPC projects.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
• Adhere to Company Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
