Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Manager of Practice Operations to lead and manage the operations of assigned practices, ensuring efficient workflows, a superior patient experience, and an engaged operations team.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in medical office operations, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments to optimize performance and financial outcomes. This is an on-site, full-time position aligned with SLPG standards and governance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of medical office or practice operations experience, including at least 1 year in a healthcare setting.
• Experience managing staffing coordination, scheduling, patient access, workflow management, and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise staff, support performance management, and maintain service and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs leadership and managerial functions across the employee life cycle for direct reports including hiring, onboarding/orientation, performance management, ongoing coaching and development.
• Ensures operational readiness for clinical and administrative operations, e.g., scheduling, inventory, equipment, huddles, time management systems and licensing.
• Manages practice operations, workflow execution, employee collaboration and patient experience.
• Coordinates with Billing/Coding, Facilities, Hospital entities, Access Center and other departments to support efficient practice operations.
• Maintains connectivity with Access Center operations to enable seamless patient and employee experiences, transfers and triage protocols.
• Serves as escalation point for operational, technological, patient, and employee issues.
• Aims for strong practice financial performance via expense management, resource utilization, and growth strategies.
• Uses organizational tools to monitor performance and identifies improvement opportunities; implements multidisciplinary solutions.
• Supervises practice leads to support oversight of workflows and processes as applicable.
• Ensures adherence to policies and governance principles.
• Other duties as assigned.
