Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks a Director of Practice Operations to lead MAPS physician practices, align budgets, and optimize revenue cycles. You will collaborate with physicians, APPs, and leadership to drive operational excellence and patient care improvements.

The role requires strong leadership, HIPAA/regulatory knowledge, and ability to manage multiple departments while promoting a culture of wellbeing and equity across Mount Auburn platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Admin, Business, Management, Economics, or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressively responsible healthcare management experience.
• Experience in physician practice management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct operational oversight for assigned physician practices, ensuring achievement of organizational objectives and strategic goals.
• Develop, administer, and monitor annual operating and capital budgets; implement initiatives to improve financial and operational targets.
• Recruit, mentor, develop, and evaluate Practice Managers and other leaders to promote engagement and high performance.
• Develop and monitor departmental policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Billing Services and clinical leadership to optimize revenue cycle performance and maximize reimbursement.
• Serve as primary operational liaison among physicians, APPs, staff, and leadership to address concerns.
• Lead quality improvement, patient safety, and efficiency initiatives to enhance care and service delivery.
• Collaborate with HR on workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, and development.
