Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Mount Auburn Hospital seeks a Director of Practice Operations to lead MAPS and ensure efficient practice operations and financial stewardship.

You will recruit and mentor Practice Managers, develop policies, optimize revenue cycle, advance quality improvement, and collaborate across departments to support growth, patient experience, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Management, Economics, or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressively responsible healthcare management experience.
• Experience in physician practice management strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, Medicare, and federal/state healthcare regulations.
• Strong leadership and change management skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel between practice locations.

Responsibilities

• Direct operational oversight for physician practices to meet organizational goals.
• Develop, administer, and monitor annual operating and capital budgets.
• Recruit and develop Practice Managers and administrative leaders.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Improve revenue cycle performance with billing services.
• Lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Collaborate across departments to support growth and expansion.
