Job summary

Generations Family Health Center in Norwich, CT is seeking a Practice Manager to lead the site’s daily operations, coordinate staff, and ensure safe, patient-centered and compliant care delivery. The role emphasizes site leadership, patient access, workflow optimization, and performance improvement within a multi-location health center focused on community-based services.

Qualifications include a 4-year degree in health care or related field and at least 3 years’ ambulatory health care

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent education and progressively responsible management experience may be considered.
• Minimum three years of ambulatory health care or comparable operations experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
• FQHC or community health center experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in staff supervision, scheduling, patient flow, patient service, performance improvement, change implementation, and operational problem-solving.
• Proficiency with electronic health record and practice-management systems; knowledge of FQHC, HRSA, FTCA, PCMH, accreditation, privacy, quality, safety, and labor requirements preferred.
• Prior clinical-support experience or certification, including Medical Assistant or LPN experience, and bilingual abilities preferred but not required.

About Generations Family Health Center:

Generations Family Health Center is a regional community health center serving a 37-town rural region in eastern Connecticut, with locations in Willimantic, Danielson, Norwich, and Putnam. Our dedicated staff provides comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including medical, dental, and behavioral health care, as well as care coordination and community outreach. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Practice Manager is the site-based operational leader accountable for the day-to-day performance, coordination, and readiness of the assigned ancillary site. The position provides administrative leadership to assigned staff; supports clinicians and clinical leaders; and promotes safe, efficient, patient-centered, and compliant operations. The site currently provides medical services and may add other clinical, enabling, or support services as organizational needs evolve.

Salary:

$73,185.00+ (commensurate with experience)

• Prior clinical-support experience or certification, including Medical Assistant or LPN experience, and bilingual abilities are preferred but not required.
