Job summary

Fox Powersports in Baldwin, MI is seeking a Service Advisor to join our team and help build trust with customers through transparent service recommendations and clear communications.

You will schedule repairs, greet customers, write up issues, prepare repair orders, present costs, and track progress while maintaining accurate records. A valid driver’s license and 2–4 years of related experience are preferred; powersports knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two to four years related experience and/or training.
• Experience and desire to work with technology to drive an exceptional customer experience.
• Excellent communication, organization, and follow‑up skills.
• Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Schedules service appointments.
• Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains unit information.
• Obtains customer and unit data prior to arrival when possible.
• Writes up customer's unit problems accurately and clearly on repair order.
• Refers to service history, inspects unit, and recommends additional needed service.
• Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
• Checks on progress of repair throughout the day and informs customers of changes with proper authorization.
• Reviews repair orders to ensure work is completed and notes any additional work.
• Explains completed work and all charges to customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Service Advisor is a trusted Powersports expert that plays an active role in the service lane. As a Service Advisor, you are responsible for selling and scheduling needed service work, preparing, and presenting repair orders, and maintaining customer records. Fox Powersports is looking for a Service Advisor that has Powersports knowledge, strong written and verbal communication skills, and is team focused.

Key responsibilities include the following. Others may be assigned.

• Schedules service appointments.
• Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains unit information.
• Obtains customer and unit data prior to arrival when possible.
• Writes up customer's unit problems accurately and clearly on repair order.
• Refers to service history, inspects unit, and recommends additional needed service.
• Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
• Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
• Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed, and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate.
• Explains completed work and all charges to customers.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience and desire to work with technology to drive an exceptional customer experience.
• Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effective.
• Valid driver's license.
