Job summary

Fox Motors in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Powersports Service Advisor to develop trust with customers while coordinating service needs. You will schedule appointments, greet customers, document vehicle problems, and present repair orders with clear estimates.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Schedule service appointments and greet customers promptly.
• Obtain vehicle information and document issues clearly on repair orders.
• Reference service history, inspect vehicles, and recommend needed services.
• Provide accurate written estimates for labor and parts.
• Communicate progress and any changes in estimates to customers and obtain authorization.

Fox Motors has a Powersports Service Advisor opening in Grand Rapids, MI at Fox Powersports. You would contribute to our overall vision, "Working together moving people throughout life," by developing and maintaining trust with our customers that will build long-term relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Powersports Service Advisor is a trusted automotive expert that plays an active role in the service lane. As a Powersports Service Advisor, you are responsible for selling and scheduling needed service work, preparing, and presenting repair orders, and maintaining customer records. Fox Motors is looking for a Powersports Service Advisor that has automotive knowledge, strong written and verbal communication skills, and is team focused.

Key responsibilities include the following. Others may be assigned.

• Schedules service appointments.
• Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information.
• Obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
• Writes up customer's vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order.
• Refers to service history, inspects vehicle, and recommends additional needed service.
• Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
• Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
• Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed, and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate.
• Explains completed work and all charges to customers.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience and desire to work with technology to drive an exceptional customer experience.
• Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effective.
• Valid driver's license.
