Job summary

Indiana University Health West Hospital is seeking a Full Time Evening Shift facilities maintenance technician to operate and maintain powerhouse systems, including boilers, generators, AHUs and related equipment. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED, at least 2 years of relevant experience, ability to read blueprints and schematics, and general maintenance knowledge.

Power Engineering Certification is preferred; this onsite role requires independent decision-making, adherence to OSHA and

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
General maintenance knowledge required.
Knowledge of federal, state, local OSHA and Joint Commission codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

Operates, repairs, documents and performs preventive maintenance of powerhouse electro/mechanical systems.
Operates stationary engines and mechanical equipment including Building Management System (BMS), steam boilers, generators, AHUs, water softeners and related equipment.
Observes meters and gauges to regulate flow of water, fuel, steam and oxygen, ensuring safe operation.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
