Job summary

IU Health West Hospital is seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance professional to support the powerhouse operations. The role involves operating and maintaining electro/mechanical systems, boilers, generators, and related equipment to ensure reliable utility services across the facility.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA) is required.

Qualifications

• Requires reading and interpreting information from blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
• Able to work independently and prioritize workload.
• Requires general knowledge of stationary engines, electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Familiarity with OSHA and Joint Commission regulations.
• Must have at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates, repairs and documents maintenance of powerhouse electro/mechanical systems.
• Monitors meters and gauges to regulate flow of water, fuel, steam pressure and oxygen safely.
• Operates building management systems and auxiliary equipment to provide utility services.
• Performs preventive maintenance and general maintenance tasks as needed.
