Job summary

Indiana University Health seeks a full-time Powerhouse Operator at the Central Utility Plant in Indianapolis. You will operate, repair, document and perform preventive maintenance on electro/mechanical systems to ensure reliable utility services.

Responsibilities include managing stationary engines, boilers and generators, monitoring meters and gauges, and adhering to safety standards. A High School Diploma is required; Power Engineering Certification is preferred; minimum 2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Power Engineering knowledge and ability to operate electro/mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; OSHA/Joint Commission codes knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate, repair, document and perform preventive maintenance on powerhouse systems.
• Manage stationary engines, boilers, generators and related equipment to provide utilities.
• Monitor meters and gauges to regulate flow of water, fuel, steam and oxygen per safety standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
