Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks a Transmission Project Manager to lead a portfolio of transmission-focused engineering design projects within our power delivery group in New York. The role offers growth from project management to client account development and strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of power transmission design/management experience, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical
• 4+ years of experience in Power Transmission Design
• Ability to independently direct a team of Engineers & Technicians while maintaining quality
• Familiarity with industry standards (NESC, ASCE, IEEE) and design software

Responsibilities

• Lead projects in the preparation of utility engineering designs, cost estimates, and customer billing
• Manage engineering and financial aspects of multiple transmission projects (34.5kV to 500kV)
• Develop project work plans and budgets; track milestones and outcomes
• Review business metrics including backlog, utilization, and revenue; ensure on-time delivery
• Coordinate internal/external reviews of designs and maintain stakeholder communications
• Collaborate across departments to implement policy improvements and best practices
• Maintain strong client relationships and pursue new business opportunities
