Job summary

HDR Engineering is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery team with multiple locations including Billings, MT. You will lead the transmission line design process, perform analyses, and coordinate with stakeholders to deliver high‑quality designs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, a PE license, and 4+ years in transmission line engineering, with strong skills in PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• PE license is required.
• 4+ years of transmission line engineering experience in electric utility/renewables is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical designs for transmission lines using PLS-CADD and foundation design software.
• Coordinate construction release packages including plans, profiles, and materials.
• Lead and mentor junior team members and coordinate quality reviews with EITs/Designers.
• Conduct design analyses and develop design options for projects.
• Support cost estimates, client meetings, and project manhours planning.
